Psychological Aspects of ART
Building a family using any Third Party help, surrogacy, egg donation, embryo donation, or sperm donation is a huge psychological step. At times someone could be giving up his or her genetic link to the baby or the Intended Parent is having to rely on a stranger to carry the child. All of these issues call for the need of a psychologist's input. Some clinics require at least one visit with a psychologist and all highly recommend on going visits during the process. All donors and surrogates need to be psychologically evaluated before assisting others with their third party plans.
